Seachtain Na Gaeilge
15 March, 2025We are delighted to have participated in Seachtain na Gaeilge, Seachtain na Gaeilge is an Irish language week that takes place yearly in the lead up to St. Patricks’s Day. As part of our effort to be a bilingual organisation we set up a counter in the Mainguard St branch dedicated to assist Irish-speaking members.
We teamed up with Gaillimh le Gaeilge for a special St. Patrick’s Day competition on our Facebook page, search for the best Irish phrases!☘️☘️☘️ The Galway City Mayor, Peter Keane, had the honor of selecting the top two entries during the Gaillimh le Gaeilge lunch, an event celebrating bilingual businesses in Galway. A huge congratulations to Rosanna Monaghan and Regina Doyle for winning the prize for “your favourite Irish saying” competition!🎊🎉
